Construction Inspections

Purpose: 

This is an introductory course to provide which covers the areas of inspection activities, types of inspections, effective inspection attributes, and documenting inspection results. The construction inspection portion of the course, by far the largest portion, contains discussions on objectives of construction inspection, key inspection areas, inspection completion milestones, inspection procedures, prevalent areas and recent concerns, prioritization of inspection activities, and training and qualification of inspection personnel.

Another feature of the course is a significant discussion of quality assurance and how it relates to construction inspection activities. The enforcement portion of the course addresses enforcement concepts and principles, associated processes, and assessment and disposition of violations. A number of breakout sessions are included throughout the course to enhance the learning experience and to assess the effectiveness of knowledge transfer.
