On March 25th and 26th, 2013, Scott Newberry, Dr. Charles Miller, and David Fischer taught a Fundamentals of Reactor Safety (FORS) course in Pretoria, South Africa for the National Nuclear Regulator (NNR) of South Africa. From March 12-15, 2013, Sergey Katsenelenbogen of AdSTM attended the 4th Annual Meeting of the Arab Network of Nuclear Regulators on March 12-13 (ANNuR) and the Meeting of National Committees for Nuclear and Radiological Law on March 14-15, both in Hammamet, Tunisia. These meetings were attended by participants from nations that are members of the Arab Atomic Energy Agency (AAEA): Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Sudan, and Tunisia. A siting workshop developed by AdSTM to illustrate how the NRC reviews a siting Application, either in the context of Early Site Permit (ESP), Construction Permit (CP), or Combined License (COL) was conducted for the Arab Atomic Energy Agency (AAEA) on February 17 – 21, 2013 in Tunis, Tunisia.
