A siting workshop developed by AdSTM to illustrate how the NRC reviews a siting Application, either in the context of Early Site Permit (ESP), Construction Permit (CP), or Combined License (COL) was conducted for the Arab Atomic Energy Agency (AAEA) on February 17 – 21, 2013 in Tunis, Tunisia. The workshop was attended by 21 people from 10 Arab countries and the AAEA. This workshop follows the review procedure described in the siting related chapters of the standard review plan (SRP) (NUREG-0800). The AdSTM’s instructors David Squarer and Richard Emch entertained numerous pointed questions from the participants throughout the workshop. In a management meeting with Dr. Daw Mosbah, the AAEA 2013 training workshop program was discussed.
